- Nonlinear phenomena in optical waveguides. Stimulated Raman and Brillouin scattering.
- Photonic integrated circuits, optical filters, optical switches and couplers, bistable optical elements, silicon photonics, optical signal processing.
- optics of nano- and micro-structured materials, optical metamaterials
- photonic crystals, optical microresonators
- quantum nonlinear optics
